Simon Harris faces an uphill battle to convince Independent TDs to vote him in as Taoiseach in two weeks time, the Business Post can reveal.

Several Independent TDs who have previously supported the government in key votes have indicated that they are undecided on whether they will vote with the government, and that they expect the prospective Taoiseach to seek a meeting with them ahead of the Dáil vote on April 9.
