Siemens to create 25 jobs at new R&D hub in Shannon

The semiconductor giant will invest €7 million to open its first ever cloud computing research centre

Semiconductor multinational Siemens will invest €7 million to establish a new research and development (R&D) facility in Shannon, Co Clare, creating 25 jobs in the process.

The centre, the first of its kind for the company, will focus on high-performance computing (HPC) in cloud for semiconductor design.
