The volume of available housing stock has reach a “new historic low”, according to Sherry FitzGerald, despite record commencement and completion notices logged in recent weeks.

According to a new analysis from the estate agent, there was 11,050 second-hand properties listed for sale in Ireland in January 2024, representing 0.6 per cent of the country’s private housing stock.
