A representative group for members of An Garda Síochána have criticised the government for saying it had set up taskforce to examine a 6-year pension gap faced by a cohort of gardaí, despite no such group having been established.

According to the Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors (AGSI), members of the government told senior police officials that it had set up a working group to examine a bureaucratic anomaly preventing them from collecting pensions. ...
