Ryanair carried 16 million passengers in April, up 13 per cent on the prior year.

The airline’s load factor, the number of seats that were filled compared to seating capacity, was 94 per cent last month.

During the month Ryanair operated over 89,650 flights.

However, over 650 flights were cancelled due to French air traffic controller strikes, affecting around 118,000 passengers of the airline, Ryanair said.
