Ryanair has confirmed the purchase of up to 300 aircraft from Boeing in a deal worth $40 billion, marking the largest-ever order placed by an Irish company for US-manufactured goods.

The airline this afternoon confirmed the news, subject to approval at its AGM in September, after widespread media reports that it was planning to buy around 150 Boeing 737 Max 10 aircraft.
