Ryanair has reported a 5 per cent increase in passenger numbers for February across more than 63,000 flights.

The Irish airline said its passenger numbers increased to 11.1 million compared with 10.6 million during the same month last year.

Its load factor - or how many seats it fills on each flight - remained unchanged at 92 per cent.

The company said it cancelled 800 flights in February due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
