RTÉ’s Kevin Bakhurst ‘will not resign’ over exit package scandal

Kevin Bakhurst has refuted suggestions that he will stand down from his role as RTÉ is once again under fire following revelations of so-called “golden handshakes” paid to outgoing senior staff.
The RTÉ director general said that he “stands over” his decisions in forming a new leadership team, and that the organisation is awaiting legal advice as to how much transparency it can offer in relation to exit packages.
