RTÉ ending year ‘in reasonable place’ as it moves to cut costs in 2024, Bakhurst says

Kevin Bakhurst, RTÉ’s director general, has said the broadcaster was coming to the end of the year “in a reasonable place” as it moves to cut costs following the biggest financial scandal in its history.

The station chief said licence fee payments had begun to “improve quite significantly” and the organisations commercial arm is performing “pretty well”.
