RTÉ asks former executives to waive confidentiality on exit packages

RTÉ has published three letters it received from Arthur Cox, the legal firm, which contained detailed advice about its obligations under data protection laws

RTÉ has written to former members of its executive to request their consent to waive confidentiality rights in relation to exit packages they received when leaving the broadcaster.

The broadcaster has also published legal advice it received from Arthur Cox, which said disclosure of negotiated settlement agreements would “lack a clear lawful basis” and be “incompatible” with data protection laws.
