The tax commissioner has said there are serious consequences for people who misuse the planning appeals system to get paid off
Revenue has warned that there are “serious consequences” for any individual or business in receipt of payments through the misuse of the planning appeals system, where the payments have not been included in the appropriate tax return.
In a statement, it said it “noted” concerns regarding misuse of the planning appeals system reflected in the Oireachtas and recent media reports.
