A review by Dermot McCarthy into Ireland’s power supply crisis has been completed and submitted to the government, the Business Post has learned.

Last year, McCarthy, who served as secretary general to the Taoiseach between 2000 and 2011, was commissioned by Eamon Ryan, the Minister for the Environment, to conduct a review of the “circumstances requiring emergency measures to be introduced to secure electricity supply over the coming winters”.
