Report: Cyber attacks on Irish businesses on the rise

Cyber attacks on Irish businesses have shot up in 2023, according to new research by Hiscox. The study found that 71 per cent of Irish companies suffered at least one cyber attack in the last 12 months, up from 50 per cent last year.

The most common point of entry for attacks was through a corporate-owned server (57 per cent), while the main source of financial loss was payment diversion fraud (43 per cent).
