Renewable energy firm RES is planning new solar projects of 500MW across Ireland as it taps into demand created by the government’s Climate Action Plan.

RES, which is the world’s largest renewable energy provider with $38 billion (€35 billion) assets under management, is currently working on a 90MW solar farm near Tullamore, which received permission in 2022. It is also planning a farm in Tipperary.
