Remote working among women skyrockets 300% since 2016

Data outlined in a new CSO gender equality data base shows the growth in women working from home far outstrips that among men

The number of women working from home increased by threefold between 2016 and 2022, data from the Central Statistics Office has revealed.

According to figures contained in the CSO’s new Women and Men in Ireland Hub - which has been launched to “facilitate a growing need for equality-based data” - the volume of women working remotely rose by 306 per cent in the six years to 2022.
