Red C poll: Two thirds of people opposed to restoration of bank bonuses

More than 70 per cent of people over 55 are opposed to the return of bank bonuses, according to the latest Business Post/Red C poll

The vast majority of people oppose the restoration of bonus pay for bankers, the latest Business Post/Red C poll has found.

Almost two thirds, or 63 per cent, of respondents to the poll said they do not support relaxing the caps on bonuses for bank employees, suggesting the public still want to see limits on bankers pay packets, which were first introduced after the €64 billion bank bailout more than a decade ago.
