Ray D’Arcy declares €250k salary
Presenter says he took a 15 per cent pay cut in 2019 as he calls scandal over Ryan Tubridy’s wages a ‘terrible mess’
Ray D’Arcy has become the latest high-paid RTÉ broadcaster to disclose his earnings in the ongoing saga around Ryan Tubridy’s remuneration, saying his current salary is €250,000.
The TV and radio presenter, who hosts a daily show on RTÉ Radio 1, described the scandal at the national broadcaster as a “terrible mess” and said he does not have an agent – unlike Tubridy, Claire Byrne and other star broadcasters.
