Public sector pay talks break up without agreement

Talks over a new deal began days after the most recent agreement expired at the end of last year

Public Sector pay talks adjourned in the early hours of this morning with both sides expressing disappointment over the failure to reach agreement on a new deal.

Minister for public expenditure Paschal Donohoe described the talks, which began on Tuesday, had been “lengthy and challenging”.
