Public housing developments produce increased demand for GP appointments compared to private estates, new research indicates.

The Economic and Social Research Institute’s study found that people living in public housing schemes require 14 per cent more GP visits than private estates, or 9 per cent more than those living in mixed estate.

Housing for All (HFA) developments, or mixed estates, are made up of supported renters, private renters and homeowners.
