PTSB cleared to resume returns to investors after Central Bank removes ‘dividend blocker’

The Central Bank of Ireland has lifted the so-called “dividend blocker” on PTSB, which paves the way for the bank to return capital to shareholders once again.

In a significant change of policy from the Central Bank, PTSB confirmed to investors on Friday that the regulator had removed its dividend blocker which prevented the bank from returning cash to shareholders through dividends.
