The new private operator for Dublin Bus routes has found it harder to hire trained bus drivers due to Bus Éireann’s offer of higher-paid jobs.

Go Ahead Ireland is offering salaries of up to €32,000 to recruit 350 new drivers. But Bus Éireann is offering salaries of €35,000, rising to over €40,000 after four years, to 200 new drivers.
