Pearse Doherty: operator of RTÉ barter account must come before Oireachtas

RTÉ executives are not being sufficiently transparent with the Oireachtas over the payments scandal according to the Sinn Féin finance spokesperson

Siún Ní Raghallaigh, chair of the RTÉ board, and Adrian Lynch, interim director general of RTÉ, will appear before the Oireachtas Media committee on Wednesday

Pearse Doherty, Sinn Féin’s finance spokesperson, has called on more RTÉ senior executives to make themselves available to be questioned by Oireachtas committees.

He made the comments on Newstalk Breakfast following RTÉ’s statement on Tuesday that said only Dee Forbes, its former director general, could have know that the salary figures published for Ryan Tubridy were incorrect.
