Paypal announces second round of job cuts in a year

Paypal has announced that it will cut 7 per cent of its workforce in the coming weeks, less than a year after its most recent round of redundancies.

In August last year the company made around 300 people redundant from its 2,000 staff in Ireland.

It has now announced it will cut 2,000 jobs globally which Dan Schulman, the Paypal chief executive, said was in response to the “challenging macro-economic environment.”
