Owen Keegan, the chief executive of Dublin City Council, has said the authority is trying to reduce traffic congestion at the Convention Centre after the venue’s operator complained about major delays for motorists leaving its car park.

Keegan also admitted that the number of Luas carriages that pass adjacent to the Convention Centre were contributing to “delays for general traffic in the area” – particularly after concerts at the nearby 3Arena.
