More than half of Irish businesses are still not connected to a fibre broadband network, according to a new survey.

Research published by Siro, the wholesale broadband operator, found that 51 per cent of firms with fewer than ten staff are not using a fibre connection, compared to 30 per cent of medium or large businesses.

Overall, 53 per cent of the 270 firms surveyed had not yet switched to fibre broadband.
