New research shows growing discontent in rural Ireland towards the mainstream political parties

Over 70 per cent of Irish farmers would vote for a new farmers’ party if one were formed, a new survey commissioned by the Irish Farmers Journal newspaper has found.

The findings come at a time when there is a growing perception in rural Ireland and farming communities that they are under attack by government due to the changes that have taken place in the state’s climate and environmental policies over recent years.
