Ørsted wins Carlow and Tipperary contracts in RESS-3 auction

Danish renewable energy firm hopes to deliver both projects before 2030

Ørsted, the wind farm operator, has secured two contracts in the government’s latest auction for renewable energy projects, known as RESS-3.

A total of 24 onshore wind and solar projects, including Ørsted’s projects - 81 MW Garreenleen Solar Farm in Carlow, and the 43.2 MW Farranrory Onshore Wind Farm in Tipperary - were cleared in the RESS-3 auction.
