'Golden visas' for foreign investors could be suspended after Monaghan hotel shuts

Officials are worried about a surge in the number of Chinese applicants to the initiative

The Oireachtas Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has been asked to examine the state’s immigrant investor programme, as the government considers a Department of Justice recommendation to suspend the scheme entirely.
