Number of female CEOs across publicly listed companies falls to 9 per cent

There are only two female chairs across all publicly listed companies

The number of female chief executives of publicly listed companies here has fallen to just three, or 9 per cent, according to the latest Balance for Better Business report. The figure is down from four last year.

The three female CEOs are Rita-Rose Gagné of Hammerson, Siobhan Talbot of Glanbia and Margaret Sweeney of Ires Reit. Both Talbot and Sweeney this year announced that they planned to step down from their respective CEO roles.
