Northern Irish Plaswire teams up with Ørsted to recycle wind turbine blades

According to Statista, wind farm waste will amount to over 6.5 million metric tonnes across the globe by 2049

Plaswire, the Northern Irish manufacturing and recycling company, has teamed up with Danish wind farm developer Ørsted to recycle wind turbine blades.

It comes after an initial pilot project to recycle three blades from a decommissioned turbine on Ørsted’s Owenreagh Wind Farm in County Tyrone proved successful.
