New laws on financial data access could harm S&P’s Irish operation, agency warns

S&P Global, the multibillion-dollar credit rating agency, has warned Irish MEPs that proposed European laws on financial data access could impact its Dublin-based Emea headquarters.

The company, which routed revenues worth €554 million through its Irish operation in 2022, is strongly opposing elements of forthcoming regulation that aims to give customers across Europe more control over how their personal financial data is used and shared by financial services firms.
