The final text of the legislation will now be subject to negotiations
The controversial Nature Restoration Law has been passed in the European Parliament by a wafer thin majority, after weeks of hostile debate over its impact on farming in Europe.
The law was passed by the European Parliament on Wednesday with a margin of 336 to 300, with 13 abstentions. The law will now be subject to negotiations to the final text. The bill passed despite not being backed by the parliament’s environmental committee.
