Nato run the rule over Irish troops in military training exercise

Nato has been putting the Irish Defence Forces to the test in Cork over the last week as part of an international training exercise.

Ireland has participated in the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (Nato) Partnership for Peace programme (PoP) since 1999, which promotes bilateral military cooperation between Nato and non-Nato European countries.
