MSD, the US drug giant, is to add 100 jobs to its workforce in Ireland as part of a major expansion of its Carlow facility.

The company has already secured planning permission for the expansion of the site, with construction set to begin immediately. The new manufacturing plant is to focus on the production of next generation treatments for cancer.
