Ministers urged to seek clarity on Intel jobs

Tech giant which employs 5,000 people in Ireland has not said whether its Irish operations will be affected by any reduction in its global workforce

Senior government ministers will be asked to intervene to protect jobs at Intel’s Irish operations in the coming days amid fears of cuts at the company’s Leixlip plant.

The Business Post has learned of concerns within government that workers at the Kildare campus could be included in a reported plan to trim thousands of jobs from Intel’s global operations.
