Minister set to decide on sale of NBI to Spanish investment firm
Decision expected shortly on whether to allow handover of 80 per cent of firm charged with national broadband rollout
Eamon Ryan is expected to sign off on the 80 per cent sale of the company behind the multibillion-euro National Broadband Plan (NBP) within weeks.
Asterion Industrial Partners, a Spanish investment firm, agreed in July to buy 80 per cent of National Broadband Ireland (NBI), the company set up to deliver the €2.7 billion rural broadband scheme, for an undisclosed fee.
