Microsoft exec says lengthening of working day is happening flexibly

The average working day has increased by 45 minutes since the Covid-19 pandemic hit and most employees are now working after 9pm, but that may not be a bad thing, according to a senior Microsoft executive.

Jared Spataro, corporate vice-president for modern work with the multinational tech giant, said there has been a significant shift in work patterns which has resulted in people working longer days, but in a more flexible way.
