Micheál Martin says Taoiseach’s apology for Clinton-Lewinksy joke is ‘end of the matter’

Micheál Martin has said that Leo Varadkar’s apology for making a joke in reference to Bill Clinton’s affair with Monica Lewinsky during a speech in Washington is “the end of the matter”.

Speaking to the Business Post in New York about the Taoiseach’s faux pas, the Tánaiste said that “in fairness things get said on occasions and he has apologised”.
