Micheál Martin pledges further cost of living supports and tax cuts in bid to woo voters

Fianna Fáil will continue to tackle the “rising cost of living” and cut income taxes for those on low and average incomes in the upcoming budget, party leader Micheál Martin has pledged.

He said that while the government had “taken a number of urgent steps to help families such as direct aid for electricity bills”.

“But we have to go further – we need to tackle costs across a wide range of areas,” he said.
