Ryanair’s handling of harassment allegations against its former chief pilot shows that it provides a safe working environment for staff, Michael O’Leary has said.

The chief executive said the airline had not taken any additional measures to protect employees since it fired its former chief pilot Aidan Murray, following an internal enquiry.

It was reported in June that he was fired following an investigation into alleged breaches of the airline’s anti-harassment policies.
