Media minister confirms 31 per cent drop in TV licence fee payments

Catherine Martin, the Minister for Media, has said it is “too early” to say whether a decrease in the number of TV licence fee payments this month forms part of a long-term issue.

The minister said there was a 31 per cent reduction in TV licence fee payments in the second week of July compared with last year, reminding the public it is the “law of the land” to pay for their TV license.
