McVerry Trust claims €9m of government bailout so far as it awaits sign off on restructuring plan

Final payment of €5 million is expected to be paid to the charity next month, granted it meets a number of government conditions

The Peter McVerry Trust has claimed almost €9 million in emergency funding from the government so far as part of a bailout package approved by Cabinet in December.

The housing and homeless charity sought the emergency funding late last year following revelations of financial difficulties at the organisation.
