Global stocks climbed on Monday as Bitcoin staged a remarkable comeback jumping to $50,000 (€46,370) for the first time in more than two years.

The Iseq All Share stood at 9,311.83 at Monday’s close after climbing 0.65 per cent. The gains were mostly thanks to Malin Corporation which soared 10.8 per cent, with Kingspan Group and Kenmare Resources up 2.8 per cent apiece.

This was offset by Corre Energy, who not only lost its early gains, but fell 8.7 per cent on the day, along with Mincon group which was down 4 per cent.
