Market update: Iseq drops as eurozone unemployment hits record low

The jobless rate in the eurozone dipped to 6.4 per cent in November as the job market remains strong in the region

The Iseq All Share pulled back 0.34 per cent on Tuesday morning as unemployment in the eurozone unexpectedly fell to a new low in November.

Europe’s job market remained strong with the latest figures from Eurostat showing the jobless rate was 6.4 per cent matching the record low set in June and beating analyst’s expectations. It fell from 6.5 per cent in October and was down from 6.7 per cent a year earlier.
