Mark Foley retires as EirGrid chief with immediate effect

Mark Foley has retired as EirGrid chief executive with immediate effect.

Martin Corrigan, the grid operator’s chief strategy officer and company secretary, has succeeded him on an interim basis, while the search for a new company lead will commence shortly.

Foley joined the semi-state as chief executive in 2018 from Coillte, the state forestry company, where he served as managing director of the land solutions business.
