Majority of Casement Park refurb funding to come from UK government - Irish FA president

The stadium, which has been unused since 2013, is among the ten stadiums selected as part of Ireland’s joint bid with Britain to host the Euro 2028 championships

Most of the funding to refurbish the Casement Park GAA grounds is anticipated to come from the British government, according to the president of the Irish FA, Conrad Kirkwood.

The cost of the refurbishment is estimated to be in the region of £130m (€149m). The initial cost quoted was £74 million.
