Longford co-working hub nominated for EU Enterprise Award

Coworx was set up by volunteers in the former Ulster Bank branch after it closed in 2017 and is credited with bringing life back to the Co Longford town

A commuter town which was hit hard during the Celtic Tiger crash has been nominated for a European award for its new remote working hub. Edgeworthstown in Longford was one of the towns singled out by David McWilliams, the economist, when he coined the term “ghost estates” in 2006.
