Long-awaited biomethane strategy to be published ‘imminently’, says McConalogue

The long-awaited biomethane strategy from the government will be published “imminently”, Charlie McConalogue, the minister for agriculture, has said.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, the Donegal TD said the new strategy, which is meant to set a clear policy roadmap for the development of a large-scale biogas industry in Ireland, is “largely complete” but is still awaiting a final funding package.

“The biomethane strategy is imminent. It will be published very shortly,” McConalogue said.
