London Irish latest English rugby club to fall into ‘disarray’

The owner of the club, Mick Crossan, had to pay his players’ wages last week as it threatens to follow Worcester Warriors and Wasps into financial collapse

Mick Crossan, the owner of London Irish, the storied English rugby club, last week had to dip into his own pocket to pay his club’s players their wages.

Crossan, who is trying to sell the club, has likely only bought it some time. Over it hangs the spectre of financial collapse, as has happened with Worcester Warriors and Wasps.
