Liquidators have been appointed over an allegedly fraudulent forestry firm which took in around €30 million from investors, the High Court has ruled.

In a judgement delivered this morning, Ms Justice Siobhán Stack appointed Enda Lowry and Jim Luby of McStay Luby chartered accountants to act as joint liquidators over GWD Forestry.

She made the order on the basis that it was just and equitable to do so, saying the company was “hopelessly insolvent” and ...
